What are the Benefits of Sound Healing?

Sound healing helps us to change our state of being through a process called entrainment, or synchronization. It can reduce anxiety and stress with long, gentle, sustained tones. It can also help activate our bodies with sounds that stimulate our brains.

What is a Sound Bath?

A Sound Bath is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience. The experience begins with each person lying down, relaxed and eyes closed. With intention, Beth plays sounds to invite gentle therapeutic and restorative processes in the mind and body. Sound is an anchor to root the mind during meditation. Different sounds and frequencies activate different energy centers of the body and brain. Beth uses a variety of instruments in her sessions, including crystal singing bowls, wind chimes, ocean drum, tuning forks and more. When you listen into a Sound Bath, you allow your brain waves to slow down, shifting from an active brainwave state to a relaxed state, or even a dreamlike state.

Meditations

Guided meditations can be made available as well. Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit your emotional well-being and your overall health. You also can use it to relax and cope with stress by focusing on something that calms you. Meditation can help you learn to stay centered and keep inner peace.

These benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help take you more calmly through your day. And meditation may help you manage symptoms of some medical conditions. ~ Mayo Clinic Staff

What can I expect to feel?

This varies from person to person. You might feel sensations in your body, certain parts of your body feel stimulated or "lit up." You could feel brain tingles, goosebumps, or chills when certain sounds are emitted. Some people report feeling certain emotions that bubble up to the surface. Others fall into a deep trance, or into a deep slumber. Whatever comes up for you is exactly what your body is craving, so I encourage you to relax into whatever that is.
